The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA), Lehigh Community Services and the Lehigh Acres Senior Center will again promote water conservation awareness through a senior art therapy program via a rain barrel painting contest!  The 2nd annual “Our Community, Our Seniors, Our Water” program will kick off on March 1st. . This year’s theme “Rein in the Rain” highlights the fact that use of rain barrels conserves water, reduces runoff pollution and erosion, promotes plant and soil heath and saves money – so let us rein in the savings!

As we embark on our campaign this year, we are asking for your support in the form of an in-kind donation of painting    supplies.  Attached is a list of needed supplies and your consideration is greatly appreciated.  The success of this program is largely credited to the support of our sponsors.  All contributions received will greatly support the services provided by Lehigh Community Services and your donation is tax deductible.

It is always important to remember that every living thing on the planet needs water to survive and this program not only help us raise awareness about the importance of water conservation, but all the money raised goes to help local seniors struggling with paying their water utility bills through Lehigh Community Services.
